Anderson’s versus the Dealership

When a transmission breaks to the point that it requires significant repairs, you can take it to a dealership or an independent repair shop. At the dealership, your vehicle will be inspected to confirm the transmission problem, and then the dealer will install either a new or a remanufactured transmission depending on your vehicle’s age, but that’s where the issues arise. Dealerships install the same transmission type with the same common problems as the one that broke down on you in the first place, and at a premium price.

We’re your dealership alternative. At our shop, when a transmission needs to be repaired we overhaul the original, custom rebuilding it with upgraded parts to prevent all of the common issues that caused it to fail in the first place, and some upgrades to improve general performance. Instead of replacing the entire unit, we replace only the parts that need to be, which helps save you money, especially when compared to the dealership.

The proof is in the picture. The photo at the top of this page is of the transmission out of a 2013 Ram 2500 in the process of disassembly on one of our benches, after which it will be rebuilt with upgrades and reinstalled for another satisfied customer.
